Trehill Farm is located in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Pembrokeshire, West Wales, UK., where cattle graze the coastal fields overlooking Marloes Sands and Skomer Island. These fields are part of the Marloes Coast Project (winner of The Wales Biodiversity Award 2004). The project is a partnership between Countryside Council for Wales, The National Trust (Landlords) and us. The aim is to restore coastal heathland and encourage diverse environmental habitats. The non-selective way in which cattle graze will help the restoration process. Cattle grazing this natural forage grow slowly and mature naturally.
The quality of the beef produced by these cattle is excellent, comments such as “beef as it used to taste” have been made as we are sure you will agree. We are offering 15kg and 30kg packs (approx) of beef direct from the farm. The packs will include steaks, roasting joints, braising and stewing cuts, and lean mince. Native breeds are selected including Welsh Black, Hereford, and Aberdeen Angus that naturally produce “marbled” meat adding to the taste and texture when cooked. The remainder of our beef is sold through Waitrose.
Two hundred acres of land at Trehill are registered as organic. Veterinary medicines are only used when good husbandry practices necessitate.
