The village
of Marloes is within walking distance (1.5km) where there is a shop,
post office, coffee shop/bistro and pub. The acclaimed beach Marloes
Sands with its 1.5km of golden sands at low tide, varied geology
and safe swimming is 3.5km away. Sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking
are all on offer in Dale (3km) www.surfdale.co.uk.
We are now able to offer
discounts at West Wales Wind, Surf + Sail for pre-booked
activities to guests with a confirmed booking. Parking of a dinghy
on the front in Dale is also available.
Temporary membership of the sailing club www.daleyc.co.uk can be obtained with weekly dinghy races during the season on Thursdays
and Sundays. The clubhouse has a restaurant. In Dale there is a
pub, a café and a small village shop.
Embarkation for the boat to the bird colonies of Skomer and Skokholm
www.welshwildlife.org is from Martin's Haven 5km away
www.dale-sailing.co.uk . Make time to walk around the Deer Park see choughs feeding in
their numbers and Seals with their pups. Sea Safari trips around
the islands leave from Dale.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path (299km long) is easily accessible from
Philbeach. The Puffin Shuttle bus passes the entrance to the farm
and is a drop off/pick up service specifically for exploring the
coast path. Exclusive access to Marloes Mere can be arranged where
a wealth of wildlife can be found.
